Today was a perfect day: I fell in love with my liver. I lived a whole day just to love and be loved back by my liver. Cool, huh? So what does that mean exactly? Well, for one thing, I had a ton of energy - I ran on the beach twice. I feel this sense of contentment and clarity - which I basically haven't felt since the government decided to "protect" us from a virus.
Have a love affair with your liver. You will never be sorry, and your life will become healthy, energetic, and fun. Try this. Even one day can change your health life.
Many years ago, my mentor - Dr. Doug Graham, said, "love the foods that love you back."
My other mentor - Anthony William, the Medical Medium - wrote a book called "Liver Rescue." In it, he writes:
"...Because discovering the power of your liver—and the power of caring for your liver—changes everything. Because what if there were one aspect of your well-being that you could focus on that would help with all the others—plus take care of the developing health problems you don't even know you have? If only we realized how many symptoms, conditions, and diseases are rooted in the liver—that it's not just about liver cancer, cirrhosis, and hepatitis—the liver would be front and center in the medical world. Liver rescue is about your heart, brain, immune system, skin, and gut. It's about sleeping well, balancing blood sugar, lowering blood pressure, losing weight, and looking and feeling younger. It's about being clearer-headed, more peaceful, happier. It's about being able to adapt to our fast-changing times. Saying yes to liver support is the most efficient action on your to-do list. A healthy liver is the ultimate de-stressor, the ultimate anti-aging ally..."
William, Anthony. Medical Medium Liver Rescue (p. 6). Hay House. Kindle Edition.
In my office - I have a large poster of this very sad looking liver with the message:
IF THE LIVER AIN'T HAPPY, AIN'T NOBODY HAPPY
With all these strong "LIVER" messages, you would think I would pay more attention to the health and wellness of my best friend - my liver. I have tried for many years - did OK as I did the best I could, but never 100%, until today.
Finally.
Here's how to love your liver so you get loved back:
Avoid too much fat and protein whether you're vegan or eat animal products. It's OK to have healthy fats and healthy protein, but high-fat, high-protein, and keto diets are very hard on your liver. These diets bog the liver down and make it hard for your liver to protect you from the toxins and pathogens that make you sick. Today, I ate no fat or protein. I feel SO good.
Stay hydrated with lemon or lime water, coconut water, cucumber juice, and fresh fruit and vegetable juices, as well as fresh fruit and fresh lettuce and greens so your liver and its immune system can function well.
Drink 16 ounces of pure celery juice every morning on an empty stomach.
The liver loves the right kind of sugar. Storing glucose is a critical function of your liver; it's how you stay alive. Yes, sugar actually keeps you alive.
